FAQ

You’ve got questions, I’ve got answers!

Q: Why are you doing this?

I love Vancouver, WA and there are amazing people doing awesome things right here and now. I want to get to know them, tell their stories and help to build a community focused on diversity, leadership and service.

Q: What is your selection criteria?

  1. Is this person doing something that I find interesting?
  2. Is their story compelling?
  3. Are they media darlings in town or are they underdogs?
  4. Are they building community with their vision, passion and action?
  5. Do I want to get to know them? Because I spend hours upon hours with them.

Q: Where did you get the idea for the project?

I love the Sundance Channel show Iconoclasts and wanted to do something similar. However, instead of focusing on celebrities, I chose the subjects of leadership, vision, passion and action, and the people right here in Vancouver, WA doing amazing things.

Q: How much time do you put into each episode?

I spend roughly 15-20 hours on each episode, depending on the complexity of the people featured. I usually end up with around 3 hours of raw footage including interviews and B-roll.

Q: Can I be an Innovator of Vancouver?

I have had people ask me to be an Innovator of Vancouver and I gladly add them to my running list of potential episodes.
